This is the channel for the Spoken Word/Motivational Speaking Division of the Binge ‘Speak Up’ Contest. Creative individuals who want to inspire others have uploaded their videos here. The videos entertain, and share knowledge and wisdom without glorifying violence, ignorance, and negativity. $12,000 in cash prizes, plus promotional items, will be awarded to contest winners.

From February 25, 2013 through May 23, 2013, upload your video and enter it into one of three contest divisions: Hip Hop, Spoken Word/Motivational Speaking, or Soul/R&B.

DESCRIPTION:
The Poem Prayer For Her is by Brooklyn Poet Shane Romero. The poem is about a girl from Khartoum, Sudan and his amazement at her history and journey. The poem explains how before her, he knew nothing of her culture. It displays detailed imagery about her journey from Sudan to New York and how all he now knows and still doesn't know is what has made her so beautiful.

I feel like we've all been affected by opiates in one way or another and the message delivered in this song is very strong. Trust me, it will make you think.
