Meet Marian Croak, the woman who invented the donation-via-text technology that helps us give to charities during natural disasters. Marian R. Croak is a Senior Vice President at AT&T with over 125 patents and another 100 patents in review. She is an excellent role model and example of African American women making valuable contributions and providing leadership in technology. She is encouraging women in the young generation be more involved in computer science? It’s really exciting, because there was a trend where, for awhile, a lot of women were going into technology fields and then there was a drop-off. I’ve been working with a lot of younger people who are in high school and just starting their college careers, through the Girls Who Code program, and it’s very exciting
