DESCRIPTION:
The 2013 ABLE reunion was a success. The event provided an opportunity for current, former and retired employees of AT&T Bell Labs, now called Alcatel-Lucent, to renew friendships and to reflect on how ABLE was an effective vehicle for changing the environment at AT&T Bell Labs for improving the hiring and career development of black scientist and engineers. At the reunion solutions were identified and discussed for continuing the challenge of developing younger generations of blacks to pursue technical and staff careers in science and engineering.
