Alde Lewis Jr. - along with pianist Amy Jackson and bassist Danny Plisco - performed "The Drummer" for a sold-out audience at the Charles H. Wright Museum on October 18, 2013. It was part of an evening of storytelling hosted by the Secret Society of Twisted Storytellers. As Lewis explains, the selected piece is "...a tribute to the great jazz drummers of African-American history."
