Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Lucid started making beats in 2009 and has since worked with a number of local and online artists. Major production influences by the RZA, 4th Disciple and Pete Rock with musical influences that range from Billie Holiday to Curtis Mayfield, old soul and Motown to jazz. When I make a beat I don't just want to get your head nodding - I want to create a mood and story within the music.
