Born Jean E. Bastien to Haitian parents in Boynton Beach, FL and raised up in Haiti up until 6, Jean Verite is an artist that is in a league of his own. “Haiti was just so bad my parents had to relocate me” says Jean. In the States, Jean Verite had quite a few confrontations with the law that he seems not to proud but humble about the situation. “I’ve done things that broke my mama’s heart, you’ll hear it in the music” say’s the young artist in a meek tone. Jean Verite’s music is definitely something interesting with musical beats and a dominant voice that forces one to pay attention to the lyrics. Its hard not to like the guy, not your typical hip hop artist with the cocky attitude. He’s just looking for two things “I want people to hear me, and feel me”.
