Soul Sun Emcee, a Suffolk VA native, is trying to bring new life back into a dying industry. As an only child, he always found ways to remain productive as a young man. His belief that music stems from the soul, played into the name. He writes his own lyrics, and based his music around delivering positive messages. Soul Sun believes that music should tell a story, not just sell negativity. At the age of 3, he found a passion for art. This eventually developed into something more than a hobby. Aside from his love of art, he is very passionate about the music he creates. From age 10, he felt a connection to the music and started developing a masked talent. Growing up, he drew inspiration from socially conscience lyricists like KRS One, De La Sol, and Common, which play a major role in his current approach to the music.
Soul Sun main focus is to bring real hip hop back. He has a very positive, futuristic flow, and would like to bring his own style to the hip hop music industry. Keep a lookout for Soul Sun Emcee, definitely one to watch.
