His distinctive flow electrifies audiences with an urban sound that sets him beyond local stages and competitions to the heart of music. Bringing hip-hop back to the mic, Lilbobdoe is the industry’s demand. Born as Daniel Thompson on December 29, 1988, Lilbobdoe was raised by his mother, Lavette Kelly, in the fast-paced inner city of Southeast Washington, D.C. In 2006, the two relocated to Durham, NC in efforts to bypass the social challenges familiarizing the young teen with “street life.” Opening a gateway of opportune avenues, the transition allowed Thompson to embrace his childhood passion for music and introduce himself as Lilbobdoe—the incredible artist the world will soon know. Influenced by iconic legends like Bob Marley, Eminem and The Police to create a legacy of his own, Lilbobdoe has been writing rhymes and spitting lines with friends since grammar school. "We would make ten verses and call them albums," Lilbobdoe remembers. As a member of RMG (Realer Music Group), Lilbobdoe is maturing in his craft with club bangers and heartfelt tracks comparable on his first mix tape, The Start Up and current work, Letters of the Unknown (releasing soon). "I believe in this movement and just want my music to speak for me and help others," Lilbobdoe says.
