About
A trained photographer and graphic designer blessed with natural artistic vision and ability, Dean Chambers is passionate about creating eye-catching images and visuals that exceed his clients’ needs and expectations.
The Kentucky-born Chambers began his study of art as a high-school student in Atlanta, where he created watercolors, charcoal sketches and prints that were often prominently featured in local exhibits and showcases. After graduating from Maxwell High School of Technology with both a diploma and technical degree in graphic arts, Chambers entered Savannah State University with a major in Mass Communications (public relations and advertising emphasis) and a minor in art.
While at Savannah State, Chambers quickly developed a reputation for developing striking graphics and materials for campus and community organizations ranging from Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., to the Tigers Roar student newspaper and the Estuary creative writing journal. Chambers also won acclaim for his photography and began doing a steady stream of small portraits and group photos before taking on larger and more high-profile assignments, including weddings and community events. Since then, Chambers has photographed renowned music artists such as Common, Trey Songz, Chrisette Michelle and En Vogue, as well as legendary film director Spike Lee and academic and cultural icon Cornel West, among others.
After completing graphic design internships with Copy Atlanta, Sigma Graphics in Savannah and the Department of Marketing and Communications at Savannah State, Chambers earned his bachelor’s degree and accepted a full-time graphic design position at the university. Adept in the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite and Macromedia Flash, he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in graphic design at Full Sail University while also working full-time at Savannah State and fulfilling the design and photography needs of a growing stable of clients.
